London vintage store styling

STYLE ME VINTAGE (takes London) – So I went to the heart of London vintage style, Brick Lane, which is filled with several vintage stores (some are featured in my previous post about Brick Lane and Spitalfields). I found these precious funky jackets (for £1 each, believe it or not) and here I’ve just paired them with ripped jeans and a black vest top. These chunky white sandals undoubtably add the extra vintage touch, yet give the outfit a trendy feel. The vibrant colours and prints are very old school as are the collars and oversized style. The red and black checks from the 80s look equally ultra-modern and vintage. You could pair it with something like the studded choker, like I have, or you could do plain silver, which would look very classy. Now coming to the Clubmasters sunglasses, which are originally an old style that has been modified to look trendy and in-season, because of its reflectors. As you can see, the look here is not entirely vintage- it is current as well! In my opinion, mixing and matching is key to coming up with uber-cool outfits from the past and making them look relevant and classic in the present.
