My name is Aria Krishnamurti. For all those who know me, you know that I am utterly lit-up when it comes to anything to do with fashion or any new artsy idea. But let’s talk about who I really am.

Futuristic Chic

Futuristic Chic for your next भारतीय विवाह

Hola Fashionistas!

This article is for the Indian-clothing-lover in you. It is also for the futuristic flirt in you, who is curious to play with metallic, retro, and futuristic looks. Mixing and matching has always been right up my alley, so here goes!

We had the honour of shooting in the scorching sun at the stunning Bidar fort in Karnataka, South India. These pictures are the result.

Most of us are quite conventional when it comes to dressing up for Indian weddings or festivities. However, there are many ways to mix and wear two different genres of clothing, and this is where I come in!

As you can see, I wore a bold metallic jacket with this pink fusion lehenga. Knowing how to balance two shades together is a question of trial and error- you can either make it look heavenly or ghastly. The trick is to always wear what you are comfortable with. Since the border of the lehenga had a little bit of rustic silver, it wasn’t rocket science that I could pair these two together. As long as a little of the dominating colour is present on some part of the outfit, you are generally fine.

As you see, this outfit has literally no accessorising. The location, the mismatched kollol datta jacket with the fuchsia lehenga just screams BOLD choices. As for the makeup and hairstyles- the makeup is very muted and the hairstyle comprised some good old Bollywood-style flying hair, against a backdrop as dramatic as a Karan Johar movie set.

It was a perfect day to venture to this beautiful fort and capture its simple yet dramatic glory.

I’m keeping this article very short and I shall let the pictures can do the talking for you. I would like to thank the wonderful Namrata for partnering up with StyleMeAria for this project, and getting the best out of everything. Hopefully you will see her incredible work more often on the blog.
