Camden Town 20 places to visit

Must-Visit Places 2.0 / Camden Town / London Series

As all of you know, London has many areas and pockets, each with their unique characteristics and charms.

Camden Town, in North London, is known for its quirky market and range of fashion and curiosities by the Regent’s Canal. The Artist in you yearns to be free and creative in a place like this.

Camden Market offers an eclectic variety of food stalls, and there are tons of interesting bars, cafes and live music venues dotted all around the surrounding lanes.

And of course, it’s hard to miss the graffiti and other interesting street art in Camden. Personally, if you are visiting London, Camden is a must-see! It soothes the soul, in short.

A walk along the canal is a great way to spend the day. There are pretty benches where you can have a picnic or even read a book. It feels like an extension for Central Park, NewYork.

It is not hard to see why the best artists rose out of Camden. You can see the history of their art and fashion in every corner – and you would certainly not feel hesitant to try out / set your own new fashion trends or wear something which you might not wear otherwise.

Camden is like a canvas for your soul. You could dress up in anything, and everything, and still feel like you have blended into the place, without any fears.

Camden is also one of the top places for vintage gear. In some stalls, you’ll find new and second-hand vintage clothing, shoes, accessories, home items, new retro style items, to name a few.

SPIRITUAL BAR – This place was a new discovery. It is unpretentious, cosy, rustic independent haunt with a bohemian vibe, featuring casual cocktails and a lineup of live music. We experienced some great live folk and jazz music.

Another place you might want to try is Blues Kitchen. They have a very American diner feel with live Blues / late nite Jazz. We had blue corn nachos, sweet potato fries, burgers, you know where I’m heading. 😛

Camden is definitely not a place you can explore over one visit. Over several visits, it sure has become my home away from home!
